The Private Sector Conference for 2010 again offers a variety of workshops and plenary speakers. In keeping with sharing good practice from across the region and from other parts of the country we are pleased to present workshops on:
- How Bolton MBC has successfully implemented the use of EDMOs and the benefits it’s bought them
- How Kent County Council have used a range of enforcement measures to tackle empty and eyesore properties
- Latest thinking and lessons learn with regards the retro fitting low carbon measure to private property
Tom Reynolds from the National Landlords Association will give an overview of how the NLA see the current Government's policy changes affecting them. He will also be joined by Gera Drymer and Diane Walton from the HCA who will discuss the outcome of HCA's online Big Debate on Empty Homes.
The Conference is aimed at :
- Policy makers from LA’s
- Staff dealing with empty homes from both LA and RSL’s
- Staff tackling affordable warmth and energy efficiency issues
- Legal staff involved in taking enforcement action
- Anyone with an interest in tackling issues within the private housing sector
