The Troutbeck Scheme comprises of the conversion of the former Church School, which was being used for storage by the National Park Authority, into a two and a three bedroom rental property with the support of the Local Parish Council by Mitre Housing Association Ltd. The properties sit at the bottom of the Troutbeck valley within the Lake District National Park, close to Troutbeck village church.
The work started in March 2007 and finished in February 2008, particular care was taken not to disturb the bats in the roof space during construction.
Both properties are now occupied by families with local connections to the village.
